I'm Kimberley Lock, a commercially focused Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience helping businesses thrive across manufacturing, service, and construction sectors. I specialise in driving financial clarity, building strong operational controls, and supporting ambitious growth plans. Whether it's implementing robust financial strategies, leading teams through change, or streamlining operations for scale, I bring a practical, hands-on approach that delivers results. As a fractional Finance Director, I work with business owners who want more than just numbers – they want insight, accountability, and a partner who genuinely cares about their success
My Story
My career began with a stack of AAT textbooks at the kitchen table, self-taught while juggling a young family and a drive to build something better. With no formal training programme or hand-holding, I carved out a path on my own terms – passing every exam first time and quickly earning promotions through determination, grit and a genuine love for what I do.

Before I’d even completed my ACCA qualification (also self-taught, and again with first-time passes), I’d already stepped into my first Finance Director role. From there, I’ve spent over 20 years helping businesses across construction, manufacturing, retail and service industries to stabilise, grow and scale. I’ve led full business turnarounds, implemented long-term strategic plans, introduced performance frameworks, and turned loss-making sites into profitable ones.

Learning is still a huge part of who I am – from Lean Six Sigma to emerging tech in finance, because I believe the best leaders never stop improving. But more than anything, I get a real kick out of helping other business owners succeed. That’s why I’ve launched my own business: to partner with ambitious companies who need clear direction, strong financial insight, and someone who’s been in the trenches and knows how to build lasting success.
